Quality Inspector Job Description

At AppleOne, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team in Hamilton, ON. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Operate and program Zeiss coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to perform inspections
  • Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials, first-offs, in-process, and final products
  • Inspect outside processing parts, including heat treating and LPI
  • Generate and disposition non-conformance reports
  • Communicate quality issues to management and production teams
  • Perform hardness testing and calibrate inspection tools
  • Participate in continuous improvement meetings and projects
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical-related field or equivalent experience
  • Above-average math skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inspecting in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
