Accident and Health Claims Specialist

Position Summary
As an Accident and Health Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of Life/Specialty claims. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of products including Critical Illness, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Personal Accident, and Business Credit Card Travel claims.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into multi-line claims, gathering necessary information and documentation.
- Analyze claim details, applying relevant policies and procedures to determine coverage and benefits.
- Communicate effectively with clients, claimants, field staff, and other stakeholders, providing clear explanations and updates on claim status.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing claim findings and recommendations for resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless claim processing and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accident and Health Claims Adjudication.
- Possession of a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or actively pursuing it.
- Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field is considered an asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows XP.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to multitask effectively and manage competing priorities.
