Job Summary

Curo Claims Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving property insurance claims in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and Assess Claims: Conduct thorough investigations of property insurance claims, gathering information from insured members, civil authorities, police, witnesses, and other insurers to determine the extent of damage or loss.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Effectively communicate with insured members, contractors, engineers, contents specialists, and other suppliers to ensure timely resolution of claims.
  • Manage Claims Files: Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims files, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with team members and management to ensure seamless claim resolution and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay current with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimal claim resolution.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education: A post-secondary education and/or college diploma in a related field.
  • CIP Designation: CIP designation or working towards designation.
  • Provincial Adjusters License: A provincial adjusters license; ability to acquire same.
  • Experience: 2+ years' experience with a good understanding of various property policies.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively manage competing priorities and work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Current Microsoft Office working knowledge and ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
