Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients who are affected by complex mental health and substance use issues, providing assessment, planning, and implementation of occupational therapy services to promote occupational performance and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' occupational performance and develop individualized plans to address their needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to implement occupational therapy services and promote client-centered care.
  • Use evidence-based practices and interventions to promote occupational performance and well-being.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and provide education to clients and families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to occupational therapy services.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Two (2) years' recent, related experience working in a psychiatric setting with individuals who have complex mental health and addictions issues.
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
