About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at CPC Pumps International Inc., a leading manufacturer of engineered heavy-duty process centrifugal pumps. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for selecting and developing vendors/suppliers based on quality, price, logistics, capacity, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure parts and components for production needs in accordance with production plan and forecast
  • Develop a strong network of vendors who can deliver zero-defect parts and components at competitive prices
  • Negotiate prices and terms with vendors and sign supply agreements as needed
  • Communicate relevant information to internal stakeholders and support them in their project, budget, and planning
  • Consult with existing and potential suppliers to offer suggestions on improvements
  • Create and drive solutions to improve on-time-delivery (OTD) and lead times
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of purchasing and materials control experience in a mechanical packages manufacturing environment
  • Pumps and compressors experience is an asset
  • Understanding of metal casting processes (sand and investment) and materials (ASTM) is an asset
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • High energy and motivation levels, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
  • Comfortable with ERP software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
