Claims Advisor III

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Advisor III to join our team at TD Insurance. As a Claims Advisor III, you will be responsible for handling residential field claims, conducting on-site inspections, and providing guidance to insured clients to facilitate claim settlement.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and settle residential field claim files in accordance with operational standards.
- Provide personal client service while settling claims with the insured.
- Complete estimates and negotiate with contractors on residential repairs.
- Control expenditures on all claim settlements.
- Assist internal and external colleagues during busy periods as required.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of home insurance policy coverage.
- Thorough knowledge of residential construction procedures and restoration practices.
- Strong client service orientation.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of residential insurance as it applies to a claims environment.
- Working knowledge of Xactimate Estimating software and Xactanalysis.
- Knowledge of construction process and materials.
- Completion of CIP or IICRC courses is an asset.
