Pharmacy Relief Professional

Job Summary
The Relief Pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy services and support to customers, medical practitioners, and other retail pharmacies working shifts scheduled by the Relief Coordinator. This role requires a strong focus on patient-centered care, customer service, and workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical pharmacy services, including disease state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments.
- Prioritize technical functions to Pharmacy Assistants when available, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient patient care.
- Initiate care plans, follow up, and document patient information to ensure comprehensive care.
- Coach pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collect relevant patient, drug, and disease information to inform clinical decisions.
- Identify actual and potential drug-related problems and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Monitor medication adherence and provide patient counseling for new therapies.
- Provide tailored counseling to meet the needs and concerns of patients, including literacy, hearing loss, and privacy.
- Exceed customer expectations through efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
- Acknowledge customers promptly and professionally, demonstrating warmth, empathy, and compassion.
- Provide superior customer service to every customer, ensuring a positive experience.
- Understand all PROfile offerings and provide each customer with the program that meets their health needs, including Pill Pack Plus, Diabetes Care in Action, Autofill Plus, Health Inform, Kids Club, and Flavorx.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Self-directed and able to work independently to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- Licensed Pharmacist in the province of responsibility.
- Injection Certification.
- Previous experience in a retail and/or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
