Position Overview

Join Big Feet as a Therapeutic Aide, where you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about patient care and rehabilitation.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program, or a non-university certificate or diploma lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and less than 2 years in a related field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer evaluative assessments to gauge patient needs.
  • Assist healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care.
  • Support physicians in evaluating patient conditions.
  • Implement treatment plans under the guidance of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to aid in the rehabilitation of patients with diverse injuries or disabilities.
  • Create informative materials to educate patients about their treatment.
  • Conduct patient examinations to monitor progress.
  • Provide assistance to physical therapists during therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate prescription records and documentation.
  • Administer tests and procedures as required.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of therapeutic equipment.
  • Manage the ordering and procurement of necessary supplies.
  • Process insurance claims and workers' compensation documentation.
  • Collect and analyze statistical data related to patient care.
  • Maintain comprehensive clinical and progress reports.
  • Oversee inventory management of supplies and equipment.
  • Document patient rehabilitation progress meticulously.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the team.
  • Prepare and maintain cleanliness in treatment areas.
  • Handle files and paperwork efficiently.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Instruct and supervise patients in their exercise routines.
  • Order necessary supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Organize and maintain inventory for optimal operation.
