Key Responsibilities
- Establish therapeutic relationships with clients and assess their needs.
- Contribute to the development and modification of individualized care plans.
- Perform various nursing procedures, such as taking vital signs and communicating patient information to the team.
- Monitor client status and report any concerns to the nurse-in-charge.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of client care.
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses, plus 1 year of experience working with offenders and/or in secure healthcare settings.
- Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- Occupational First Aid Level 2 certification (OFA Level 3 certification for positions at the Ford Mountain Correctional Centre).
