About the Role

Pengcorp is seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team as an OT Industrial Network Field Support Specialist. This role will provide technical support to field customers who need assistance utilizing and optimizing hardware and software performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain High Availability of OT Infrastructure
    Ensure the optimal functioning of OT infrastructure, including network, telecommunication, structure wiring, fiber optic, satellite, microwave, and cellular radios, workstations, servers, operating systems, antivirus, and industrial applications.
  2. Implement Process-Oriented Architecture Principles
    Work in coordination with senior OT resources to implement process-oriented architecture principles to meet organization's availability, integrity, and confidentiality requirements.
  3. Install and Configure Hardware and Software
    Install and configure hardware, software, and peripheral equipment in accordance with organizational standards.
  4. Maintain Plans and Procedures
    Maintain plans, processes, and procedures for modifying and improving OT infrastructure, taking into consideration technology that enhances users' and field experience.
  5. Provide Technical Leadership
    Provide technical leadership on project teams in conjunction with project management and multi-department personnel.
  6. Assist in Problem Solving and Troubleshooting
    Assist other engineers and technical staff in problem solving, troubleshooting, and application of industrial control devices.
  7. Apply Security Policies
    Work in coordination with senior OT resources to apply security policies to maintain security objectives of the system.
  8. Implement Cybersecurity Countermeasures
    Implement specific cybersecurity countermeasures on-site for systems and/or applications.
  9. Integrate Automated Capabilities
    Integrate automated capabilities for updating or patching system software where practical and develop processes and procedures for manual updating and patching of system software.
  10. Resolve Vulnerabilities and Mitigate Risks
    Implement security measures to resolve vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and recommend security changes to system or system components as needed.
  11. Troubleshoot System Hardware and Software
    Troubleshoot system hardware and software.
  12. Analyze Incident Data
    Analyze incident data for emerging trends.
  13. Maintain Incident Tracking and Solution Database
    Maintain incident tracking and solution database.
  14. Perform Asset Management
    Perform asset management/inventory of OT resources.
  15. Provide Input to Risk Management Framework
    Provide input to the Risk Management Framework process activities and related documentation.
  16. Perform Factory and Site Acceptance Tests
    Perform Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

College education in Electrical or Computer/Network or related subjects, preferably from an accredited college.

Minimum Certification and/or Training
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (i.e. MCSA) – Windows Server 2012+, SQL
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate – Industrial/Security/Routing & Switching (i.e. 5)
  • Moxa Technical Support Certification (i.e. MTSC) – Networking, Wireless, Computing
  • Radios/Cellular training (e.g. Motorola, Cambrium Network)
  • Certified Fiber Optic Technician
