As a key member of the Information Technology Department, reporting directly to the Information Technology Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in achieving the department's objectives while upholding Agnico Eagle's core values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the repair, installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunication systems across Nunavut, including telecommunication tower infrastructure.
  • Conduct fiber optics and cabling installation, along with repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Design and manage CATV system layouts and distributions.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of LTE communication systems.
  • Ensure the functionality and proper configuration of FM broadcast music systems.
  • Administer Industry Canada licenses while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT/OT Analysts to calculate and implement various microwave links.
  • Manage diverse communication methods for both surface and underground infrastructure, including DocSIS, WiFi, VHF/UHF systems, and LTE.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate diagrams and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications:

  • College degree specializing in telecommunications or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of pertinent experience in the telecommunications sector.
  • Fundamental understanding of RF principles, including spectrum analysis, filtration devices, and modulation techniques.
  • Experience with managing Sepura radios (TETRA) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cellular technology is a plus.
  • Amateur Radio Certification is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
