About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data & Analytics Product Owner to join our team at BRP. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data products and solutions that support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the finance team to understand their data and analytics needs, including financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis requirements.
  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap, in close collaboration with business units and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain a product backlog based on stakeholder feedback, business priorities, and strategic objectives.
  • Prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer needs, and other factors.
  • Define and maintain acceptance criteria and ensure that they are met during product development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the data and analytics team and the finance team, providing regular updates on project status and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Design, build, and lead workshops to gather required information that will guide the development of the future-state solution.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics for data products and use insights to continuously improve and optimize the products.
  • Act as an ambassador and promote the data product defined with the business partners (users and consumers).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, computer science, business administration, or other related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in agile methodology and backlog management.
  • In-depth understanding of financial data flow and its use in management decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, SQL, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to clearly articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in an open team environment, employing a collaborative, continuous improvement, and innovation mindset.
  • Excellent business acumen, with an ability to connect the dots and tell stories using data.
  • Experience with Jira, Microsoft Power BI, data visualization, SQL, Snowflake, machine learning, or artificial intelligence (an asset).
