Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at Microtel Inn and Suites Blackfalds. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role
Work Environment
  • Located in a rural area
  • Experience in a hotel, motel, or resort setting
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage special events
  • Assess food portion sizes and associated costs
  • Design menus and forecast food requirements
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and dishes
  • Accommodate customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas for compliance
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation and safety
  • Supervise kitchen personnel and assistants
  • Maintain inventory and records of food and supplies
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas
  • Oversee overall kitchen operations
