About the Role

Prairie Oasis Farms LTD is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Vegetable Picker. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of our produce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Management: Clean the crops, cultivate on vertical farming systems, and maintain the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes.
  • Harvesting and Packing: Hand harvest vegetables, pack fruits and vegetables, and sort them for quality control.
  • Quality Control: Examine products for quality and readiness for the market, and report signs of insect or disease damage.
  • Soil Preparation: Mix and prepare soils for optimal crop growth.
  • Worksite Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with odors, heat, and physical demands.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, reliable, and a team player.
Work Conditions
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 30 to 50 hours per week.
