About the Role

Prairie Oasis Farms LTD is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vegetable Harvesting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of our crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Management: Clean the crops, cultivate on vertical farming systems, and maintain and manage the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes.
  • Harvesting and Packing: Hand harvest vegetables, pack fruits and vegetables, and sort fruits and vegetables.
  • Quality Control: Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market, and report signs of insect or disease damage.
  • Soil Preparation: Mix and prepare soils for optimal crop growth.
Work Environment

As a Vegetable Harvesting Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to work independently, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, tight deadlines, physically demanding, hand-eye coordination, ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail.
  • Personal Qualities: Organized, reliability, team player.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a variable schedule of 30 to 50 hours per week. The work language is English.
