Established in 1913, Olds College of Agriculture & Technology has been dedicated to providing exceptional hands-on education for over a century. About the School of Life Science & Business
The School of Life Science & Business offers innovative, high-tech, hands-on learning experiences in the fields of animal health, business, and horticulture. It is also home to the National Meat Training Centre and the Olds College Botanic Gardens. The School grants a variety of certificates, diplomas, and applied degrees across several disciplines, including Animal Health, Business, Equine, and Horticulture.
Position Overview - Casual Instructional Contracts in Equine
The School of Life Science & Business at Olds College is seeking applications for instructors to teach horsemanship courses as part of the Equine Care and Management Certificate program. The specific courses available for instruction include:
- EQN1018 - Horsemanship Under Saddle I
- EQN Horsemanship Under Saddle II

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively as part of an instructional team;
- Prepare and deliver engaging instructional content;
- Assess and report on learner performance;
- Facilitate a positive, safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment for students;
Qualifications and Skills:
- Significant experience in coaching beginner and intermediate riders;
- Experience working with a diverse range of horses;
- Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level is considered an asset.
