Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant, Assurance:
  • Work collaboratively with team members to provide outstanding service to clients across various reporting frameworks and industries.
  • Offer insightful recommendations and solutions based on current business and financial assessments.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements, including resource and budget management.
  • Prepare diverse tax returns and address inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Enhance our reputation as trusted business advisors in critical sectors of our expanding practice.
  • Guide, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to junior team members on various engagements.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Are You the Right Fit for the Senior Accountant, Assurance Role?

We are looking for candidates who can meet the following criteria:

  • A completed post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • CPA accreditation (CPA, CA; CPA, CMA or CPA, CGA) or nearing completion.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in public practice audit.
  • Strong technical knowledge in audit, accounting, and taxation.
  • Experience in preparing tax returns.
  • A commitment to exceptional client service and relationship building.
  • Excellent planning and time management abilities.
  • Proven analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to generate and present innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in mentoring junior team members is an asset.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software applications, with a readiness to learn new technologies.
