Position Overview

Kamloops Communications Inc is seeking a dedicated Senior Bookkeeper to manage and oversee our financial records. This is a permanent position that requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Management: Calculate and prepare payroll cheques.
  • Asset Management: Assess fixed assets and manage depreciation.
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
  • Journal Entries: Post necessary journal entries.
  • Reporting: Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns and trial balances.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile various accounts.
  • Administrative Oversight: Manage office administrative procedures and evaluate new processes.
  • Data Assembly: Compile data for periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence.
Technical Proficiency

The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of:

  • Accounting software
  • MS Excel

  • Sage Accounting Software
Transportation Requirements
