We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a CBSA Tactical Security Guard at the Immigration Holding Centre in Etobicoke. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of individuals and assets within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and escort individuals within the facility, utilizing restraints as necessary to ensure safety.
- Observe, monitor, and report on behavior of detainees, demonstrating empathy and compassion in high-stress situations.
- Conduct regular foot patrols of indoor and outdoor facilities, utilizing security software and equipment effectively.
- Generate daily incident reports, utilizing tactical training to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations.
- A valid Ontario security guard license.
- A valid and current First Aid/CPR certificate from a WSIB-recognized training provider.
- Canadian citizenship or 5-years permanent residence status.
- Minimum high school diploma from a recognized education provider.
- Ability to pass a Public Works Clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Available to work flexible hours, in a full-time or part-time capacity.
- 1 year experience working in a vulnerable sector.
- 1 year tactical security guard experience.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
- Experience working in a high-stress environment with quick responsiveness to emergency situations.
- Starting hourly payrate of $23.10.
- Full time and part time schedules available.
- Uniform provided at no cost.
