Job Title: Licensed HVAC Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed HVAC Technician to join our team at Cedar Fair Entertainment Company.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the installation of new equipment, rebuilding and repairing existing equipment, and maintaining accurate service records and logs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with the installation of new HVAC equipment, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects.
  2. Rebuild and repair existing equipment, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records and logs, providing valuable insights for future maintenance and repairs.
  4. Make recommendations for improvements, modifications, and upgrades to equipment and processes, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Assist with major overhauls, modifications, and alterations as required, working collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.
  6. Ensure the safe operation of each work area and project, adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
  7. Assist with general cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of equipment as needed, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  8. Responsible for executing the preventative maintenance program, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and functioning optimally.
  9. Assist with seasonal staff as required, providing support and guidance to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  1. Post-secondary education in a related field, coupled with a Refrigeration License (HVAC).
  2. Minimum five (5) years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in HVAC installation and repair.
  3. Gas Fitter level One (Asset) and Gas Fitter level Two (Mandatory) certifications.
  4. Valid Ontario driver's license.
  5. Past experience in a diverse and comparable environment, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with a variety of equipment and tools.
  7. Proven skills with food service equipment installation and repairs, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required, with a flexible and adaptable attitude.
  9. Proven ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and work with deadlines, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
  10. Ownership of tools and safety boots, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  11. Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, with a strong physical presence and ability to lift up to 23kg.
