Chief Executive Officer, Economic Development Leader

About the Role
As the Chief Executive Officer of Invest WindsorEssex, you will be responsible for driving the formulation and implementation of a comprehensive roadmap for economic development across the region. This will involve developing and executing strategic plans that leverage ongoing economic development initiatives while prioritizing initiatives that ensure equitable access to opportunities for all members of the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Position the region as a preferred destination with a diverse workforce and a forward-thinking growth agenda.
- Act as a principal relationship developer with businesses, public institutions, and other key stakeholders in the region.
- Set priorities, create performance metrics, leverage and allocate resources, and promote continuous learning with your team.
- Support even greater consolidated efforts in business retention, small business start-ups, and overall economic growth for the region.
- Ensure a collaborative and inclusive environment within Invest WindsorEssex and across the broader community.
Requirements
- An accomplished leader with experience working with Boards, government representatives, corporate decision makers, and community leaders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to model excellence, respect, and trust.
- A champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a strong ability to establish relationships with diverse stakeholder communities.
- Thrives in complex, changing environments.
