We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team at Ardent Security and Investigative Services Inc. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our security team, ensuring the safety and security of our clients and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of security guards, ensuring they are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Provide guidance and support to security guards, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Emergency Response
- Be the point of contact for emergency situations, ensuring a swift and effective response.
- Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure a seamless response to emergencies.
- Operations and Maintenance
- Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Reporting and Communication
- Prepare and submit progress reports, highlighting any issues or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with security guards, management, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise information is shared.
- Training and Development
- Train security guards in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of security guards.
- Supervision and Review
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of security guards.
- Review the performance of security guards, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
- Education
- College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a security or law enforcement context.
- Certifications and Licenses
- First Aid Certificate.
- Security Guard License.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Ability to train and develop security guards.
