About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team at Ardent Security and Investigative Services Inc. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our security team, ensuring the safety and security of our clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of security guards, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and are performing their duties to the highest standard.
    • Provide guidance and support to security guards, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Emergency Response
    • Be the point of contact for emergency situations, ensuring a swift and effective response to any incidents.
  • Operations Management
    • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
    • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, maintaining a high level of technical proficiency.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit progress reports, providing regular updates on security operations and any issues that may arise.
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring the security team has the necessary resources to perform their duties.
  • Training and Development
    • Train security guards in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
    • Establish work schedules and procedures, ensuring the security team is well-organized and efficient.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a security or law enforcement context.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • First Aid Certificate.
    • Security Guard License.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Organized and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
