Professional Responsibilities:

  • Significant experience in assisting individuals facing acute and chronic mental health issues, addictions, and complex psychosocial challenges.
  • Proficient in conducting risk assessments related to self-harm, harm to others, suicidality, safety, and associated care planning.
  • Skilled in delivering individual counseling, emphasizing the application of best practice methodologies.
  • Competent in performing comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations and clinical formulations to aid in triage, treatment planning, and discharge processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of community resources and referral pathways for outpatient mental health support.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree (preferred) in a regulated health care profession.
  • Active membership with a professional college in good standing.
  • At least five years of clinical experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and/or concurrent disorders.
  • Extensive training and recent experience in providing time-limited, evidence-based treatments, including Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
  • Comprehensive training and relevant experience in conducting risk assessments.

  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities, with a strong capacity to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to maintain a broad perspective on the demands, capacities, and practical challenges of hospital and community systems.
  • Consistent performance and attendance are essential.
