About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will work primarily within our specialty programs, providing expert care to clients with neurology, mental health, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, client-centered care to individuals with work-related injuries, chronic pain, and other conditions.
- Develop and implement effective return to work plans, working closely with clients, employers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including physical and psychosocial interventions.
- Conduct group education sessions and lead small group learning to promote client empowerment and independence.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based research in occupational therapy, neurology, and mental health.
Requirements
- University degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Minimum two years of experience in treating clients with work-related injuries, MVA, and third-party healthcare system experience.
- Experience working with mental health programs and return to work planning skills are preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide group education sessions and lead small group learning.
- Compliance with confidentiality requirements.
