About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Slipacoff Dental Centre. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and ensure they are comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.
  • Order dental and office supplies to maintain a well-stocked and efficient clinic.
  • Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory, including preparing and sending reports.
  • Prepare dental instruments and filling materials for use during procedures.
  • Maintain and order supplies to ensure the clinic is well-stocked and efficient.
  • Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments and confirming patient information.
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
  • Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant as needed.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments and ensure patients are aware of their upcoming appointments.
  • Perform intra-oral duties, including taking X-rays and recording dental procedures.
  • Invoice patients for dental services and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board is required for this role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform the demands of the role.
