Interior Health Authority is seeking a casual Combined Laboratory/X-Ray Technician to join our team in a vibrant community. If you have completed a recognized program in Combined Lab/X-Ray technology and are looking for a fulfilling role in a serene and cost-effective environment, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
As a casual employee, your work hours may fluctuate between 0 and 37.5 hours weekly. Assignments will be available on short notice, on-call, or through pre-scheduled shifts to cover for absences. There is also the potential to apply for regular positions through our internal recruitment process.
This role involves working rotating shifts during the day and evening, with scheduled times including 07:30 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, and 15:59 to 23:59.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Combined Laboratory/X-Ray Technician will:
- Conduct a range of standard laboratory, x-ray, and ECG procedures in line with departmental protocols and standards set by relevant service and accrediting organizations.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and address any technical issues as necessary.
