About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technologist to join our team at Tanglefoot Veterinary Services Ltd. As a key member of our veterinary clinic, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional animal care and support to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care and Handling
    • Collect and process animal samples for laboratory testing
    • Assist veterinarians with animal handling, restraint, and care
    • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
  • Diagnostic and Laboratory Support
    • Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures
    • Produce diagnostic radiographs and assist with imaging
  • Medication and Treatment Administration
    • Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
    • Administer treatments as prescribed by a veterinarian
  • Client Communication and Support
    • Counsel clients on animal health care and provide education on animal behavior and nutrition
    • Assist with client communication and provide exceptional customer service
  • Office Management and Administration
    • Perform routine office management tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
    • Assist with scheduling and appointment management
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Registration as a Registered Animal Health Technologist (RAHT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
  • Completion of a recognized veterinary technology program
  • 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or related setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
