Job Title: Department Head
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Department Head to join our team at 11245171 Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and authorizing payments by cheque.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise staff, including apprentices, stages hands, and design team members
* Assign sales workers to duties and ensure efficient workflow
* Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to meet business needs
* Authorize payments by cheque and maintain accurate financial records
* Order merchandise and manage inventory levels
* Establish work schedules and ensure compliance with company policies
* Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
* Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
Requirements:
* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
* 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
