About the Role

Gora Jaimal Wala Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for driving as part of a two-person team or convoy, loading and unloading goods, and obtaining special permits and documents required for international routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving and Transportation: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Permits and Documents: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including a driver logbook.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
  • Training and Development: Willingness to learn and participate in training programs provided by the employer.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 40 to 50 hours per week.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
