About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Service Group Manager to join our team at MTL Aerostructure. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the development and implementation of aerospace engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Train, Direct, and Motivate Staff: Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Evaluate Technical Designs and Engineering Work: Review and assess technical designs and engineering work to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Oversee Report Preparation: Manage the preparation of reports, ensuring they are accurate, comprehensive, and meet the needs of stakeholders.
  • Supervise a Team: Directly supervise a team of 5-10 people, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Work in a Team Environment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in a relevant field, such as aerospace engineering.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Work Setting: Urban area.
  • Area of Specialization: Aerospace engineering.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal awareness, judgment, organized, and a team player.
  • Workplace Information: Hybrid work environment, 40 hours per week, permanent position, bilingual work language.
