About the Role

Fakih Hygiene (Unionvillegate) Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our facilities and equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and Manage Maintenance Costs: Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation.
  • Lead Maintenance Team: Direct the maintenance and repair of our machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available to support maintenance operations.
  • Supervise Staff: Hire, train, and oversee the supervision of a team of 5-10 maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Manage Budget: Develop and manage the operations budget for our facilities, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Coordinate Administrative Services: Plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities management role.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in using the internet and other computer applications to support maintenance operations.
  • Security and Safety: Must undergo a criminal record check and maintain a high level of security and safety awareness.
  • Transportation and Travel: Travel expenses will be paid by the employer, and public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Must be able to work under pressure and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be organized, reliable, and a team player.
