Key Responsibilities of the Flight Attendant include:

  • Preparing the aircraft for passenger boarding while maintaining a strong awareness of the service and safety protocols for the flight.
  • Engaging with passengers through personal interactions and general announcements in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Welcoming passengers and interacting with them throughout the flight to foster a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
  • Ensuring compliance with mandatory safety procedures.
  • Collaborating with the flight deck crew (pilots) to guarantee a smooth and well-coordinated flight with excellent communication with customers.
  • Providing inflight snack, meal, and beverage services, as well as managing the sale of onboard products.
  • Assisting with the operation of the inflight entertainment system.
  • Supporting passengers with various needs, including stowing carry-on baggage, arranging seating, and ensuring overall comfort.
  • Managing onboard incidents and emergencies effectively.
  • Responding to medical incidents or emergencies, including administering First Aid as necessary.
  • Maintaining the general orderliness of the aircraft.
  • Sharing customer feedback with management and actively participating in efforts to enhance Air Canada Rouge's service and customer experience.
  • Completing and submitting required safety documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Must possess a valid Canadian Passport without restrictions.
  • Candidates should reside within 90 minutes of Toronto Pearson Airport or be willing to relocate.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance.
  • Access to the internet for last-minute updates and communications is necessary.
  • Comfortable working at high altitudes in a pressurized cabin environment.
  • Previous customer service experience is an asset.
  • Flight Attendants are required to meet Air Canada Rouge's medical standards, which include passing a medical evaluation and drug and alcohol testing, ensuring candidates are free from intoxicating substances.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in both English and French is preferred.
  • Additional language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Greek, Italian, Hebrew, Japanese, German, Punjabi, Hindi, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Korean will be considered an advantage.
