The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crown Prosecutor to join our team. As a Crown Prosecutor, you will be responsible for the prosecution of criminal, quasi-criminal, and regulatory cases in the Provincial Court and the Court of King's Bench.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out prosecutions in a fair and impartial manner, ensuring that justice is served and the rights of all parties are protected.
- Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support prosecutions.
- Provide legal opinions and advice to police and other stakeholders as required.
- Participate in legal education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in criminal law.
- Work collaboratively with other prosecutors, police, and court officials to achieve successful outcomes.
- Eligibility for membership in the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with computer software applications, including legal research tools and MS Office.
- Experience in litigation and criminal law is an asset.
