About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically capable Laborer to join our team at Top Tomato Foods. As a Laborer, you will play a vital role in the success of our farm operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and promote growth.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots to ensure efficient processing and distribution.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to optimize yields and quality.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to track and analyze farm performance.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Examine product for quality and readiness for market to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work Environment

As a Laborer at Top Tomato Foods, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and efficiency. You will be exposed to various weather conditions, including wet and damp conditions, and will be required to work outdoors in a physically demanding role.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions and priorities.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient work.

Language and Work Term

The primary language of work is English, and the work term is seasonal. The Laborer will work 40 to 60 hours per week, depending on the needs of the farm.
