About the Role

This is a hybrid role that requires a unique blend of technical and business skills. As a Business Process Automation Specialist at Thales, you will be responsible for implementing, integrating, and troubleshooting/test Business Process Automation (BPA) flows/processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement, integrate, and troubleshoot/test Business Process Automation (BPA) flows/processes, including web service invocations, embedded scripts, and user interactions.
  • Automate Business Processes, engaging with relevant stakeholders to ensure the defined processes meet the need.
  • Champion digital transformation and automation within In-Service Support projects.
  • Lead and oversee the work of a small team of BPA specialists.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education with relevant experience.
  • Software Development experience: 8 years, including:
    • Leading a Software Development or Software Test team: 2 years
    • Development of Web Services: 5 years, including:
      • Use of Javascript for web application development: 2 years
  • Experience defining software requirements, user stories, and/or GUI UX design based on stakeholder needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with UX design and/or implementing GUIs.
  • Experience automating business processes using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
  • Excellent 'soft skills' relevant to leading a team and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a scrum/agile software development environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytic skills with a desire to learn.
  • Experience with military or aerospace domains.
Regulatory Compliance Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration Program (including ITAR-controlled articles).
