As a Battery Engineer at Segula Technologies, you will play a crucial role in the development and validation of electric vehicle battery systems. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the shipping of completed battery packs to test facilities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Test Planning and Execution: Coordinate and execute validation testing based on the Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R), adhering to test specifications and best practices.
- Test Setup and Review: Ensure timely provision of test specifications, procedures, and hardware to meet test targets, and review and approve test setups at various facilities before test commencement.
- Test Progress and Reporting: Track test progress, report updates in program meetings, and troubleshoot issues to ensure successful test completion.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records for each validation test and approve final test reports.
- Process Development and Improvement: Lead the development and improvement of Test Procedures, Design Validation Plans (DV), and Process Validation Plans (PV) for EV Battery development.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support as a Resident Engineer at Testing Suppliers.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate validation issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
- Tool Utilization: Utilize tools like CANalyzer to integrate battery control modules.
- Problem-Solving: Apply proactive and reactive engineering problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
- Automotive Battery Knowledge: Understanding of automotive battery designs and knowledge of electronic bill of material systems and CAD systems.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with fasteners and torque, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and understanding of battery electronics.
- Tool Proficiency: Knowledge of tools for collecting and plotting battery data.
