Overview
Flex-N-Gate, a leading manufacturer and supplier of automotive components, is seeking a skilled Battery Innovation Engineer to lead and support lithium-ion cell technology projects. As the auto industry transitions to electrification and sustainable energy, this role will play a crucial part in driving innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lithium-ion battery cell technology projects.
- Innovate and improve battery material development for cathode, anode, electrolytes, and separators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable manufacturing methods for new materials.
- Evaluate emerging technology trends for next-generation lithium-ion batteries.
- Work closely with the Flex-Ion Battery Innovation Center to validate new materials, processes, and technologies.
- Act as the primary interface with universities and colleges for project collaboration.
- Support cell design activities and effectively communicate project status.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Technical background in EV battery cell development.
- Hands-on experience in lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing.
- Background in battery cell design and process.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate into product requirements.
- Able to work independently and demonstrate a desire to learn and improve.
