Overview
Flex-N-Gate, a leading manufacturer and supplier of automotive components, is seeking a skilled professional to lead lithium-ion cell technology projects. As the auto industry transitions to electrification and sustainable energy, this role will play a crucial part in driving innovation and growth.
Scope of the Position
The Battery Innovation Engineer will be responsible for leading and supporting projects related to lithium-ion battery cell technology. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new materials, processes, and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support lithium-ion cell technology projects.
- Develop and innovate lithium-ion battery materials for various components.
- Work with teams to ensure feasible and scalable manufacturing methods.
- Evaluate new technology trends and their impact on next-generation lithium-ion batteries.
- Collaborate with the Flex-Ion Battery Innovation Center to evaluate and validate new materials and technologies.
- Act as the primary interface with universities and colleges.
- Support cell design activities and effectively communicate project status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Technical background in EV battery cell development.
- Hands-on experience in lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing.
- Background in battery cell design and process.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate into product requirements.
- Able to work independently and demonstrate a desire to learn and improve.
