Global Security Deployment and Compliance Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our global security deployment and compliance team at Air Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive security strategy that ensures regulatory compliance while meeting operational and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Global Compliance: Lead the development and implementation of global security compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of professionals to achieve security compliance objectives, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and expertise.
- Strategic Planning: Design and deliver a global security strategy that optimizes compliance, minimizing operational and commercial impact.
- Regulatory Engagement: Negotiate and challenge security requirements with regulators, ensuring that mandates are aligned with business objectives.
- Communication and Collaboration: Develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including regulatory, training, and operations teams, to ensure seamless implementation of security initiatives.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring the safety and security of Air Canada's operations and assets.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and report on security compliance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Education: University degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cargo operations and regulatory requirements.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, providing training and development opportunities.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to negotiate and challenge security requirements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
