Position Overview

Key Details

  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
  • Operate as part of a two-person team or in a convoy.
  • Drive specialized lighter trucks.
  • Handle loading and unloading of goods efficiently.
  • Monitor vehicle condition and conduct inspections on tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform emergency repairs roadside when necessary.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all vehicle aspects are managed.
  • Communicate and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Document cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
Qualifications
  • Licenses: AZ class license required.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with bill of lading, driver logbook, and inspection reports.
  • Equipment Experience: Proficient in operating tractor-trailer units.
  • Navigation Skills: Ability to use GPS and other navigation tools.
Travel Requirements
  • Must possess a valid passport.
  • Valid driver's license is essential.
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods and overnight stays is required.
Work Environment
  • On-the-road job with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Physical capabilities include repetitive tasks and prolonged sitting.
  • Weight handling of up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and 13.5 kg (30 lbs) may be necessary.
