As a Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will oversee the operational, regulatory, and professional service aspects of the pharmacy to ensure excellence in patient-centered, outcome-focused care.
Your Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Provincial Pharmacy Regulations and ensure compliance with Provincial Practice Standards and Guidelines;
- Follow the Provincial Drug Formulary and keep the Retail Pharmacy Manager informed of any regulatory changes;
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to practices aligned with the Privacy Act;
- Ensure compliance with NIHB Claims Submission;
- Follow Store Operating Procedures as defined by the HP&S division and uphold Operational Standards;
- Manage pharmacy personnel, including onboarding, training, accountability, and leadership;
- Deliver patient-focused care with a strong emphasis on collaboration with healthcare professionals and community organizations. Focus on community education;
- Identify and develop business opportunities while recognizing the importance of fostering relationships within the community, including Healthcare Centers, Nursing Stations, and Physician Clinics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy;
- Licensed by the relevant Provincial College of Pharmacists;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Maintain Continuing Education Requirements for Provincial licensure;
- Strong communication skills to counsel, educate, and instruct patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals;
- Previous management experience (preferably 1 year) with a community-oriented approach;
- Familiarity with Pharmacy Software Programs; experience with Kroll is an asset;
- Highly motivated with a commitment to improving community health through accessible products and services;
- Ability to lead a team of approximately 2-3 staff members;
- Effective leadership skills with a talent for building trust and relationships.
