Crestpoint Real Estate Investments is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Investment Analyst to join our team for a 4-month term. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our asset management and investment professionals, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of the asset management process.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assistance and support to the Investments and Asset Management teams.
- Assist in the preparation of property valuations and the calculation of investment returns, as well as assist with external client and internal property and Fund reporting requirements.
- Provide general asset management support, including financial analysis of potential leases, cash flow projections, redevelopment projects, and financing alternatives.
- Assist with the underwriting, due diligence, and overall process of completing new acquisitions and dispositions, including the preparation of Investment Committee and client reports.
- Gather and evaluate economic and market data.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and special assignments at the broader corporate level as needed.
- Support Crestpoint's ESG initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a student in their third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree or MBA with a focus on Real Estate, Commerce, or Finance. We are seeking ambitious students with a strong academic track record, who are interested in making an impact in the field of real estate investment.
- At least one completed internship/co-op work experience in a similar role.
- Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel; familiarity with ARGUS real estate software is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to think logically and problem solve effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure, dealing with changes and interruptions while maintaining strict deadlines.
- Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Interest in real estate and/or real estate-related fields.
