About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated ECE Assistant to join our team at Childventures Early Learning Academy Inc. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment
    • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the childcare centre, including equipment and play areas.
    • Prepare healthy snacks and meals for children, adhering to dietary restrictions and guidelines.
  • Support Early Childhood Educators
    • Assist in planning and implementing educational programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Help maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage with Children
    • Plan and lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
    • Encourage children to develop good habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues
    • Attend staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
    • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Punctuality and dependability.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Judgement and reliability.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
