About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rotating Equipment Maintenance Planner to join our team at 09 Irving Oil Limited. As a key member of our maintenance and operations team, you will play a critical role in establishing, maintaining, and supporting the continuous improvement of our maintenance planning process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed work packages that contain activities to support refinery equipment repairs, replacements, and maximize equipment availability in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Collaborate with maintenance coordinators, SMEs, and schedulers to ensure optimal resource utilization and achieve compliance targets.
  • Identify and validate job descriptions, assess and review previous work histories, and consult with key stakeholders to obtain relevant information and resources.
  • Work collaboratively with area teams to ensure everyone is set up for success and establish a close working relationship to promote a positive and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • A comprehensive understanding and practical experience with the sequencing and prioritization of tasks associated with performing maintenance activities on refinery or similar industrial equipment.
  • Ability to prepare work packages while recognizing potential risks or barriers to be removed.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to report progress formally and informally.
  • Support continuous improvement and have a mindset that promotes a culture of excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience maintaining refinery equipment, industrial maintenance planning, and/or industrial scheduling and execution.
  • Red Seal Journeyperson or equivalent certification.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent with practical experience.
  • Experience with operations or supervision in an industrial environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
