Job Summary:

The Technical Coordinator for Maintenance Engineering will provide technical support to the Maintenance Engineering Group at 09 Irving Oil Limited. This role will work closely with the Group Lead to mentor and develop Engineers, assist in equipment assessments, update internal standards, and support Engineering Work Orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor Junior Engineers to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Support the Maintenance Engineering Group Lead in achieving team goals and objectives.
  • Review and approve Engineering Work Orders (EWOs) and Maintenance of Change (MOCs) to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Provide technical support to the Maintenance Engineering Group, including performing engineering calculations and assessments.
  • Develop and maintain internal standards and training programs to ensure consistency and excellence in maintenance engineering practices.
  • Create and manage Engineering Work Orders and Request for Quotation packages to facilitate efficient maintenance operations.
  • Manage priorities, deadlines, and participate in On-Call rotation and Turnarounds to ensure seamless maintenance operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of industry experience in maintenance engineering or a related field.
  • P.Eng. designation required.
  • Leadership experience and knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as ASME and API.
  • Experience with design and repair of piping/pressure vessels is an asset.
