Manager of Transportation Equipment Maintenance

We invite you to join a customer-centric transportation organization within the perishables sector as a Manager of Transportation Equipment Maintenance. Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Fleet Management, you will leverage your extensive experience in fleet management to lead the maintenance team and oversee a variety of responsibilities, including staff leadership and motivation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee shop operations, technician schedules, and work order management
  • Collaborate with third-party service providers for maintenance initiatives
  • Ensure prompt repairs and appropriate equipment utilization
  • Conduct inspections of units for cleanliness, damage, and mechanical issues
  • Perform test drives to verify equipment functionality
  • Maintain and update maintenance-related documentation and equipment inventories
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance services with dispatch teams
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies
  • Implement operational enhancements and strategic objectives

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in fleet maintenance
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience
