Position Overview:
To further our mission, we are seeking a full-time Manager of Volunteer Services to become an integral part of our team.
Role Responsibilities:
The Manager of Volunteer Services will oversee all facets of the volunteer services program, which includes:
- Recruitment
- Onboarding
- Orientation
- Engagement
- Retention
- Recognition of volunteers
This role will involve collaboration with Agency staff to enhance the ongoing development of volunteer initiatives that align with our service delivery model and strategic objectives.
Focus Areas:
Key priorities will include the creation of volunteer programs aimed at addressing the overrepresentation of Indigenous, Black, and 2SLGBTQIA+ children, youth, and families within the child welfare system.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
- A university degree or a college diploma in a relevant field, along with formal training in volunteer management from an accredited community college.
- Experience in volunteer management, preferably within a not-for-profit setting.
- A solid understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and training facilitation.
- Familiarity with software applications related to volunteer management.
- Experience in community development is advantageous.
