About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Datacentre Operations Specialist to join our team at US Tech Solutions. As a key member of our Data Centre Services team, you will be responsible for deploying and installing hardware into our datacentres, coordinating with service providers, and troubleshooting hardware installation issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Deployment and Installation: Deploy and install hardware into our datacentres, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinate with service providers for non-local datacentres, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot hardware installation issues, providing timely and effective support to ensure minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Documentation and Maintenance: Maintain detailed documentation of all deployed IT assets and DCIM tool, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Hardware Replacement and Maintenance: Replace failed hardware components, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Return Merchandise Authorizations: Coordinate Return Merchandise Authorizations with manufacturers, ensuring efficient and cost-effective resolution of hardware issues.
  • On-Site Support and Validation: Validate completed onsite third-party support work against the agreed-upon scope, reporting any variances or concerns to your manager.
  • Travel and On-Call Support: Ability to travel to client remote sites periodically, and participate in On-Call rotation for the Data Centre Services team.
  • Overtime Support: Provide overtime support when required, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 Years of Experience: A minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in installation and power-up (Rack & Stack) of servers, peripherals, and network equipment.
  • IT Operations Experience: A minimum of three years of experience and exposure in IT Operations work, including the operational capabilities and typical challenges of data center operations.
  • Cabling and Documentation: Demonstrated experience of cabling infrastructure, as well as, maintaining documentation of newly installed infrastructure devices.
  • Data Centre Facilities: Demonstrated understanding of data center facilities infrastructure, such as HVAC, service entrances, UPS, etc.
  • Coordination and Communication: Demonstrated ability to coordinate onsite support of third-party contractors performing infrastructure projects, preventative maintenance, or testing.
Additional Requirements
  • Secret Clearance: Ability to meet the Bank's Secret Clearance requirements.
  • Language Skills: English essential, French will be considered an asset.
