About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities Team at NT Cash Carry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent litter and maintain a clean environment.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • System Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the overall condition of our facilities.
  • Work Environment: Work with minimal supervision and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Weather Conditions: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our facilities.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting may be required to perform job duties.
Personal Suitability
  • Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
